Jonathan Moscone
Mr. Moscone is in his ninth season as Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater where his credits include Man and Superman, As You Like It, Hamlet: Blood in the Brain (in collaboration with Intersection for the Arts+Campo Santo, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, The Importance of Being Earnest, Julius Caesar, The Seagull, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. His work at Cal Shakes has earned him Bay Area Critics Circle and Dean Goodman Choice Awards for Best Direction and Production, and his productions of Man and Superman, Nicholas Nickleby, Ghosts (Berkeley Rep), Twelfth Night, and The Seagull were all named among the ten best productions by The San Francisco Chronicle and other area newspapers. His regional credits include Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, San Jose Repertory Theater, Dallas Theatre Center, Goodspeed Musicals, Triangle Opera, Portland Stage Company, and Magic Theatre. He is the recipient of a Princess Grace Award for Directing, a Drama League Directors Project Fellowship, and a Stanford Graduate School of Business Center for Social Innovation Fellowship. He currently serves on the board of LoveLife Foundation in Oakland, and on the advisory boards of Girls Inc., of Alameda and Redwood High School in Oakland. He has also served as a grant review panelist for the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Theater Communications Group, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Upcoming projects include Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband for Cal Shakes, and Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice for Milwaukee Rep.
Debbie Chinn
Ms. Chinn is in her eighth season as Managing Director of California Shakespeare Theater. She oversees all general operations of the Theater including fundraising, budgeting, marketing, public relations, personnel, board development and strategic planning. She served as Managing Director of Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and spent over five years as Volunteer Council Director at San Francisco Symphony. Prior to joining S.F. Symphony, Ms. Chinn was Special Events Director for Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles County where she produced and directed major events for Mark Taper Forum, Ahmanson Theatre and the James A. Doolittle Theatre. She has been affiliated with University of San Francisco, where she created the Student Alumni Association, and A.C.T., where she directed fundraising events and community outreach programs. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Southern California School of Theatre, where she studied under the artistic direction of John Houseman. Ms. Chinn is a recipient of a Stanford Graduate School of Business Center for Innovation Fellowship, and serves on the board of the California Arts Advocates, East Bay Leadership Foundation, Sonoma County Repertory Theatre, as well as on the Development Committee of the Raphael House.
