Classroom Teachers

The mission of our trainings is to offer teachers easy to replicate arts-based strategies that can be used in core curriculum. Trainings are available as part of in-service days at school sites, as well as in the evenings and on weekends. Past workshops have included a workshop for pre-school to 1st grade teachers to teach games to encourage creativity and verbal development, and to teach High School English teachers games & exercises that can easily be transferred to their classes to infuse arts-based learning into core curriculum.

Workshops include both trainings by seasoned Teaching Artists, and a packet detailing goals, state standards, the specifics of the exercise, and reflection questions.

We also bring in renowned Professional Trainers from across the country to give workshops. Past workshops have included "From Story to Stage: The Drama in Classroom Literature" with Rosalind Flynn and "Habits of Creative Engagement" with Eric Booth, both co-produced with Cal Performances and the Berkeley Unified School District.

Teaching Artists

For Teaching Artists, we provide a palette of trainings, from Age-Appropriate Teaching to Effective Lesson Planning.

In the future, we plan to make our curriculum materials available online.
