A bit about our audience.

Our base is influential. Our patrons, supporters, and trustees include local luminaries and civic leaders from around the Bay Area. Our Artistic Learning programs are supported—and purchased—by leaders in policy-making and educational administration.

Our audience is affluent. 12% of our Main Stage patrons have annual household incomes above $300,000; 29% earn more than $200,000 annually; 48% earn more than $150,000; and 75% exceed $100,000 a year.

Our base is loyal. Our annual subscription renewal rate for 2016 was 80%, compared to a national average of 74%. 25% of our subscribers have renewed for more than 3 consecutive years.

Our audience is educated. 94% of our Main Stage patrons are graduates of a four-year college, and 76% have completed either a post-graduate degree or some post-grad study.

Our supporters are young, relative to other local arts organizations. 51% of our Main Stage patrons are between the ages 35 and 59, and five percent are younger than 30.

Our supporters are local. Approximately 92% of our Main Stage patrons live in the Bay Area. Of these, 38% live in Contra Costa County and 37% live in Alameda County.
